Ralphie was the runt of our first litter. He was stuck breech in the birth canal causing the C-Section. The vet had difficulty getting him out and they had difficulty reviving him. His right rear leg was badly twisted and swollen. He weighed 13.5 oz while the rest of the litter weighed about 1 1/2 lbs. His weight dropped to 9 oz. We hand fed him for the first 5 days and then had to get in the whelping box to keep his place while he nursed when he was stronger. We had to massage and exercise his rear leg, which is now completely healed. As the pups grew he became the brains of the operation. He was always figuring out how to escape and then enlisted his brawny brothers to do the heavy work for him. After being passed up a couple of times, when the pups were being placed, he decided he wanted to stay here instead of go to another home. He wouldn't have anything to do with the last couple that came specifically to see him. As he has grown he has the best chest of the litter although the rest of his structure is pretty poor. He is quite high in the rear and toes out badly in the back. He is a big boy weighing 105. He is a character and we love him dearly. He has some funny antics. He is very laid back and just ambles along. We often sing to ourselves "I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee" when we call him and he just takes his sweet time getting there. He minds well just takes his sweet time, watching and smiling at us the whole time. He does great around canes, walkers and wheelchairs. We may train him for Therapy dog. Although we have tried he has no desire to pull a cart. We continue to try though.

He is still our little miracle.

Roz co-owns Murphy with Tom & Kim Matus. Murphy is a well built, handsome boy. He is maturing nicely. He also has the boxy head, good stop, and nice silky coat and good temperament. He is stocky like his father and has good height, bone and mass. He has good movement. He has a nice chest. Tom and Kim are providing a good, happy home for him. He is very devoted to his owners. He also likes going between legs and loves attention.
